Kenai family grateful for generous reaction

Letter to the Editor

With great emotion, Gayle and I desire to thank each and every one in this central Kenai Peninsula area. The great outpouring of love, hugs, tears, flowers, gifts, messages, phone calls, cards, handshakes, etc., have been most overwhelming.

The Clarion article and editorial were humbling. The visit by our neighboring Kaleidoscope school class, their singing of a most meaningful original Alaska song and presentation of their handwritten book was awesome.

You have taught, coached and befriended our four children as they grew and learned and played here over the years. Thank you so much for making this an ideal community in which to raise them. The values, skills and knowledge learned and experienced have launched them into their own successful careers and now they have solid families like yours.

Twenty years of beauty has been observed and experienced not only among God’s creative natural handiwork in our region, but also in the hearts and the noble characters of our local citizens. Your loyalty, respect and love are so greatly appreciated, and you shall forever have a special place in our memories and hearts.

These words cannot adequately express our feelings and emotions at this time. God bless each and every one of you and your families. You know who you are and may you remain successful, happy and healthy.

Garth and Gayle Reid
