Tina's never closed she just moved to a stronger location

For more than twenty years, Tina's Hair Pro's have been serving families of the local community at various locations. In the not-so-distant past, Tina's gained some national notoriety when a customer accidently drove through the front of her salon when it was located next to JoAnn Fabrics in Soldotna. The story made national news under the heading, "Tina's drive-through window." "I think the story the Clarion ran originally got picked up by MSN.com and was chosen as their news pick of the week. From there I must have had calls and interviews from media outlets all across the lower 48. The Jay Leno show was even considering doing a piece on my drive through window, but it was during the writer's strike, and they never contacted me directly," said Tina Taylor, owner of Tina's Hair Pro's.

Today Tina's Hair Pro's has a new, well fortified, location next to the Kenai River Brewing Co. behind Froso's in Soldotna. "We have solid cement block walls all the way around, with lots of parking space, so we're feeling secure and very cozy these days in our new surroundings," says Tina. Tina moved from her former location in March of this year, and over the summer the exterior of the building had a major face lift to match the newly remodeled interior. "We still have folks stopping by and saying how glad they are that we are still open. A lot of people assumed that when JoAnn Fabrics expanded their store, that we had gone out of business. But we've been here since March, continuing to make people beautiful," she said. Tina has more than twenty years of professional experience as a hair stylist, and is very proud of the fact that she has been able to keep her prices low during these tight economic times. "There's no middleman here. You pay the professional directly, and we pass those savings on to our clients and that's why we have the most economic prices in town," says Tina.

Tina has done a remarkable job remodeling and decorating her new location into a warm spacious salon that accommodates all family members male and female from the youngest to the most mature. Tina's has four professional stylists and nail technician Claire Keene to serve and pamper you from head to toe as well as stocking a full line of a variety of professional salon products. "We really hope folks will stop in for a holiday visit and spread the word that we are still open here at our new location. Tina's Hair Pro's is open daily Monday - Saturday 9:00am-7:00pm, walk-ins are welcome or for appointments call 262-4082.
