ANCHORAGE (AP) -- The search continued Monday for a pilot overdue on a hunting trip to Admiralty Island.
Coast Guard officials say the pilot was reported missing Friday afternoon. The name of the pilot is being withheld, pending notification of family.
The plane is described as a cream and blue Cessna 180 on floats.
Rescue crews from Juneau, Sitka and Petersburg searched bays and inland lakes in the area but found no sign of the plane. The Coast Guard Cutter Liberty has also been patrolling the search area.
Coast Guard officials say no emergency locator transmissions have been picked up from the area and no signs of a crash have been found.
The pilot changed his flight plan early Friday to head to Seymour Canal, Gambier Bay and Pybus Bay, said Coast Guard Petty Officer David Foucault said.
