KENAI (AP) -- A Kenai man is dead after a rollover accident in Soldotna.

Alaska State Troopers say Andrew McClue, 28, was driving a car on Kalifornsky Breach Road early Sunday when he lost control of the vehicle and it crossed the center line, rolling several times.

Troopers said the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed when it left the roadway. McClue and a passenger, 22-year-old Shane Soares of Soldotna, were trapped inside the vehicle. Rescue crews managed to get them out and they were taken to Central Peninsula General Hospital, where McClue was pronounced dead.

Troopers said alcohol appears to have been a factor in the accident.
