Blood bank looks back to October with thanks

Posted: Tuesday, December 16, 2003

The month of October was great for the Blood Bank of Alaska Kenai Peninsula Center thanks to our community and the people who took the time to make a difference. I would like to extend a very heartfelt thanks to all those businesses, organizations, churches, schools and individuals who participated in our community blood drives for the month of October, including Kenai Peninsula College, Central Peninsula General Hospital, the community of Seward health fair, Kenai Christian Church, Kenai Fire Department, Central Peninsula Counseling Services, Job Ready, Resurrection Christian Church in Seward, Kenai Curves and the Kenai Peninsula Borough with its annual Halloween drive.

Thank you to all the individuals who gave of yourselves and your time while you helped to organize a blood drive or you donated blood. The Blood Bank of Alaska Kenai Peninsula Center saw 275 people in October and got 190 good units of blood. Many of those individuals visited our Soldotna Center in the Blazy Mall when we weren't out in the community. Thank you again for helping to save so many fellow Alaskans lives in our community and around the state.
