Veterans Day program a success because of many

Posted: Friday, December 16, 2005

From the Kenai Peninsula veterans organizations, American Legion Post No. 20, AMVETS Post No. 4 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 10046, a huge thank you to Soldotna Mayor David Carey for making the Soldotna Sports Center conference room available for our Veterans Day ceremony.

Also, we thank Kenai Mayor Pat Porter and Mayor Carey for their proclamation and appreciative remarks in support of our military and U.S. corporations.

Thanks to Hobo Jim for your ballad, “I am a Soldier.” We hope you make it to Iraq to provide those folks with some quality entertainment. Thanks to Agrium for sponsoring the cookies and coffee tables at our ceremony and thank you KSRM and WHQ, and J.R. and Paul for putting us over the air, advertising our 11-11-11 ceremony and, last but not least, we thank our community for filling 300 chairs at our ceremony. We appreciate everyone who took part or attended. Thank you all.
