Kenai resident Mr. Joshua Tams Wilson, 29, died Saturday, Dec. 12, 2009, at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18, at Peninsula Memorial Chapel, 5839 Kenai Spur Highway, Kenai.
Mr. Wilson was born Nov. 17, 1980, to Tams and Teri (Chase) Wilson in Texarkana, Texas. Joshua moved to Alaska in 1990 living in Kenai. He was employed with CH2MHILL working as a welders helper in Prudhoe Bay.
"Joshua gave the gift of life to many others by donating his organs. We love him very much and will miss him greatly," the family said.
Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Clifford Chase and John Henry Wilson; grandmother, Tosca Wilson; and uncles, John Woodrow Wilson and Keith Thomas Chase.
He is survived by his significant other, Elisabeth Moore of Kenai; mother, Teri Chase and her husband, Randy Baird of Texarkana, Ark.; father, Tams Wilson and his wife, Barbara Brown, of Kenai; sister, Rachel Wilson, of Anchorage; grandmother, Laura Beth, of McKinney, Texas; cousins, Justin Wilson, of Stillwater, Okla., Keith Chase, of Marietta, Texas, and Laura Renee' Chase, of McKinney; uncles, John Chase, of The Dalles, Ore., and Kevin Chase, of Denison, Texas; aunt, Tonya Chase, of McKinney; and stepbrothers, Nicholas and Joshua Brown, of Kenai.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made in memory of Joshua to the Joshua Wilson Memorial Fund at the Alaska USA account No. 1497691 for baby Moore/Wilson.
