Chamber to hold luncheon
The Soldotna Chamber of Commerce will hold its weekly luncheon at noon today at the Riverside House in Soldotna. This week's speaker is Donna Peterson, Kenai Peninsula Borough School District superintendent.

Chamber to host speaker
The Kenai Chamber of Commerce luncheon will host speaker Mike Nugent, Agrium general manager at the Nikiski plant. Also, Joe Arness will speak on the Regional Policy Transition Team Summary. It will be at noon Wednesday at Paradisos. It is $10.50 inclusive and open to the public.
Development center to sponsor workshop
The Peninsula Small Business Development Center is sponsoring the workshop "Web Site Renovation: Getting it Right," by David Edward Smith, owner of Borealis Designs, from 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Red Diamond Center, Suite 16. This is an opportunity to gain knowledge on Web site content, development and new interactive management solutions.

Frontier to set off fireworks
Frontier Community Services invites the community to its fireworks celebration at 6 p.m. Thursday at The Soldotna Sports Center.
Habitat home to be dedicated
Central Peninsula Habitat for Humanity will celebrate the dedication of its 11th home at 3:30 p.m. Sunday. The home is at 207 Cottage Drive in Kenai. Habitat for Humanity also is accepting homeowner applications through Jan. 1 for the next home to be built in 2003.
Applicants must meet three criteria: currently living in substandard housing, able to make monthly payments on a no-interest mortgage and willing to work 500 "sweat equity" hours in construction or administrative service.
