Redoubt kindergarten through third-grade students will present a musical, "Sights and Sounds of the Season," at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Soldotna High School Auditorium.

The Soldotna High School Swing Choir will perform for Redoubt students from 1:40 to 2:25 p.m. Thursday. Other holiday activities include a school sing-along Friday and a special visitor Friday afternoon.

Through the efforts of many volunteers, 20 Redoubt families were helped this holiday season. The Redoubt staff extends a special thank you to Anne Bixby for her hard work and many hours coordinating this big project.

Mrs. St. Onge's class sold Christmas candygrams last week to raise money for the American Red Cross. Thanks to the many students and parents who bought candygrams. Candygrams will be delivered Thursday.

Savannah Smith from Mrs. Rolph's class won the recycling contest for November. Savannah's guess of 200 pounds was closest to the actual 202 pounds recycled by Ms. Haddix's sixth-grade class.

The school is looking for donations of used or new winter coats, snow pants, gloves, hats, scarves and boots for students.

There will be no newsletter or Ice Cream Friday this week due to holiday activities.
