Franco, Jackson marry in Ecuador
Maria Elisa Franco and Jeff Jackson
Maria Elisa Franco of Bahia de Caraquez, Ecuador, and Jeff Jackson of Kenai were married Saturday, Nov. 11, 2006, in Bahia de Caraquez.
The bride is the daughter of Solanda Franco and goddaughter of Pepe and Anna Maria Intriago. Maria Elisa is employed as a medical office attendant. She carried a bouquet of tropical flowers. Her attendants were Maria Natalia, Luis Angel and Jose.
The groom is the son of Wayne and Bekkie Jackson of Kenai. He is a 2000 graduate of Kenai Central High School and a 2004 graduate from the University of Arizona with a degree in accounting. Jeff is serving as a member of the Peace Corps as a business and economic development adviser in Ecuador. Robert Medina, Marlon Alcivar and Ramon Cedeno served as groomsmen.
Special guests included many of the groom’s Peace Corps friends.
The couple plan to make their home in the United States when Jeff has completed his duty with the Peace Corps in the fall of 2007.
Franzmann, Walsh marry in Anchorage
Jessicca Franzmann and Brian Walsh Jr.
Jessicca Franzmann of Sterling and Brian Walsh Jr. of Casa Grande, Ariz. were married Saturday, Sept. 2, 2006, at 7 p.m. in St. Patrick’s Church in Anchorage. Deacon Felix officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Karl and Lisa Franzmann of Sterling. She is a 2002 graduate of Soldotna High School. She also attended the University of Alaska Anchorage. Jessicca is employed by Dr. McLaws D.D.S. as a receptionist in Chandler, Ariz. She wore a Maggie Sottero gown with a medium train. Her colors were fuscia, teal and silver. Various white lilies, roses and delicate flowers made up her bouquet.
Her sister, Katie, was the maid of honor. College friend Shawna Gibbs and the groom’s sisters, Jessica Walsh, Denise Carter and Maggie Cox, were her bridesmaids. Her flower girl was Briley Carter. The bouquets were made by Sue Forbes, friend of the bride.
The groom is the son of Brian and Kathy Walsh Sr. of Casa Grande, Ariz. He is a 1999 graduate of Bartlett High School and moved to Phoenix in April to attend the Phoenix Police Academy. He graduated from the academy Sept. 29. Brian is employed as police officer in the Maryville area.
The groom’s best man was Rob Forbes. His groomsmen were Clint Reed, Donny Hinkle, Jason Carter, Chris Carter and Jacob Franzmann, the bride’s brother. The ring bearer was the groom’s nephew, Mason Cox.
A string trio played for the wedding. A limo picked them up at the church and brought them to the reception at Otter Lake Lodge in Fort Richardson.
Leann Carter, friend of the bride, made the four-tiered, hexagonal-shaped cake. It had chocolate, carrot and white flavors. It was decorated with white icing, flowers and lace.
Shawna Shields, friend of the bride, served as the photographer.
Jessicca and Brian moved to Chandler, Ariz., the day after their wedding and plan to honeymoon at a later date.
