Call for submissions

The Central Peninsula Writers Group is calling for submissions for the 13th Annual Writers presentation in March. Adult and high school aged writers from Cooper Landing to Ninilchik to Nikiski are eligible to enter. Entries are due Feb. 13 and must be accompanied by an entry form. Kids' reading program continues

Triumvirate Bookstore in the Peninsula Center Mall in Soldotna is hosting a Frequent Reading Program.

Kids may sign up at the bookstore, pick out one free book, a reading calendar and program rules.

Bookstore hours are noon to 6 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays. For more information, call Rosie Reeder at 262-2908.

Senior center seeks art

The Soldotna Senior Citizens Center is seeking artists to display artwork at the center for a month at a time, beginning in 2010. Artists will be responsible for putting art up and taking it down. For more information, call 262-2322.
