Kenai resident Andrew E. McClue died Sunday, Dec. 15, 2002, at Central Peninsula General Hospital in Soldotna from injuries sustained in an auto accident. He was 28.
Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at Peninsula Memorial Chapel. Kjell Risung will officiate.
Mr. McClue was born on March 4, 1974, in Phoenix. He spent his childhood in New Castle, Colo., and was a graduate from Yampa Valley High School. He moved to Alaska in 1992. For many years he worked in the telecommunication field, and then with Era Aviation and most recently was employed by Coca-Cola.
He loved the outdoors and truly enjoyed spending time with his son, Anson, and fishing, camping, snowboarding and skiing. He especially enjoyed volunteering at the Boys and Girls Club, coaching his son in soccer and basketball.
"Andy loved life, family and friends and was loved tremendously in return. Andy will be dearly missed," his family said.
He is survived by his son, Anson McClue; mother and stepfather, Jeannie and John Coston of Kenai; father, Larry McClue of Pinetop, Ariz.; sister, Stephanie McClue of Glenwood Springs, Colo.; brother, Matthew McClue of Denver; aunt, Lois Wilmoth; maternal grandmother, Jeannie Wilmoth of Glenwood Springs, Colo.; paternal grandparents, Sidney and Dorothy McClue of Phoenix; and many other family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation account has been set up for his son at any Alaska USA branch, account No. 061021.
Arrangements were made by Peninsula Memorial Chapel.
