Homer wrestlers compete in Sitka
The Homer wrestling team traveled to Sitka Thursday, Friday and Saturday for assorted wrestling matches.
On Thursday, the Mariners wrestled a dual meet against Sitka and lost to the Wolves 40-31.
Friday, Homer wrestled three dual meets. The Mariners defeated Ketchikan 63-10, lost to Juneau 37-31 and lost to Sitka 42-34.
Saturday, Homer was to continue mixing and matching to get matches for wrestlers.

Skyview, Nikiski drop road games
The Skyview High School hockey team dropped a pair of games to Wasilla Friday and Saturday.
In Friday’s game at the Brett Arena in Wasilla, Paddy Iverson scored Skyview’s lone goal in the second period as the Panthers lost 9-1. Skyview goaltender Gabe O’Lena made 40 saves in the game.
In Saturday’s game at the Palmer Arena, O’Lena was credited with 50 saves but the Panthers were blanked 6-0.
Also Friday, the Nikiski Bulldogs dropped a 16-0 decision to Palmer in a nonconference game.
