The Nikiski Senior Center will host Santa at the center from 4 to 6:30 p.m. today. Kids can visit with Santa, have cookies and hot chocolate. The 14th Annual Kenai Central-Soldotna High Schools Hockey Alumni Game will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Soldotna Sports Center. A limited number of positions are available. The Hospice of the Central Peninsula's 14th annual winter wine tasting and auction fundraiser will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. Feb. 13 at the Kenai Senior Citizens Center.
Tickets will go on sale Jan. 4 at the Hospice office in Bridges in Soldotna.
The organization is accepting and seeking donations for its planned auction.

The Soldotna Community Playground Committee is seeking donations for a silent auction as part of a fundraising event. The proceeds raised will go toward the building of the playground at Soldotna Creek Park.
The group also has available for purchase pickets that can be scribed with names and wooden salmon that can be decorated by families. These items will be placed as part of the playground.
