  Maggi's Inner Peace Imports & Gifts offers shoppers a chance to relax, read and enjoy the experience.

Maggi's at Beaver Loop & Kenai Spur Rd is now open for a whole earth shopping experience.

As the last weekend for Holiday shopping appears so does a unique place where you can take a break from the crowded check out lines and dodgem car parking lots of the twin cities; Maggi’s Inner Peace Imports & Gifts, a new store located at the corner of Beaver Loop and the Spur Highway that is the perfect place to find a unique something for that special someone who is so hard to find anything for. “Anytime you’re stressed you’re welcome to come in sit and relax, read, meditate, exercise, have a cup of coffee, tea or herbal tonic while you rejuvenate or try on some of our imported clothes,” says Maggi.

Maggi grew up on the Kenai Peninsula and moved here with her family in 1961. She went to elementary school here, middle school in Fairbanks, and graduated from Kenai Central High School. “My shop has been more than ten years in the making, I always wanted a place right here at the Beaver Loop intersection for the local people who live in between Kenai and Soldotna,” Maggi told the Dispatch. Recently Maggi returned to the Kenai Peninsula from North Pole, where she had a Bed & Breakfast as well as a gift shop for two and a half years. “I travel a lot and spend a lot of time buying things from around the world. I recently drove my big truck up here from the lower 48 by myself and shopped all the way home. I have a full line of Egyptian lingerie, Egyptian jewelry and clothing from Bali,” says Maggi.

Maggi also specializes in one of a kind items, healing crystals, books, tanning, and natural fruit and herb tonic elixirs; she carries a complete line of Emu products and even has a drive through coffee window. In addition to items from around the world, Maggi features many Alaskan art and craft items made by local artisans. “I do this for the people, I love people and I figured this would be a great way to have them come visit me while helping them find unique items in a place where then can come in relax and mellow out, get a massage, exercise, meditate, learn yoga or just get a hug, hugs are free and nobody has to leave without one,” says Maggi.
