ANCHORAGE (AP) -- A car crash on the Palmer-Wasilla Highway killed a seven-month-old infant Monday.
Angela Miller was buckled into an infant car seat in a Jeep driven by her mother, Nicole Miller, 18, troopers said. Also in the car were Nicole Miller's 2-year-old son and her 14-year-old brother-in-law, Derek Martin.
Troopers said Miller lost control, slid into the oncoming lane and was slammed by a van driven by Linda Anderson, 53, of Palmer.
Angela Miller died at an Anchorage hospital from her injuries, troopers said. Martin, of Washington, appeared to have suffered a broken leg, said trooper Thad Hamilton.
