ANCHORAGE (AP) -- Anchorage police have arrested a man in connection with a shooting early Thursday that left one man dead.

Keith Godfrey, 23, was charged with murder and assault. He is charged in the death of Patrick Ramones, 23.

Anchorage police said a dispute between the men appeared to have been over Godfrey's ex-girlfriend.

A second victim, whose name was not released, is recovering at an Anchorage hospital with wounds to the lower abdomen. His injuries do not appear to be life-threatening, police said.

The shooting occurred at about 3:30 a.m. at the Millennium Hotel in Spenard.

Godfrey was contacted by police about a half hour after the shooting. He was arrested on several outstanding warrants and later charged with murder.
