I am fortunate to share the friendship and workplace of some extraordinary ladies in our community.
A standing ovation should be extended to Maureen Boyle, Linda Hibbard, Meagan O’Neill, Jacquie Steckel, Kelly Williams and group leader Kim Remsen as they prepare for another large community Christmas.
These women have fund-raised, worked and shopped many long hours to provide Christmas to 59 families that have indicated the expense of providing Christmas is difficult for them.
The recipients of their efforts are given a wonderful, heartfelt, hand-picked Christmas, including everything from food to toys. I know these women shop for the families they are assigned to with as much care as they do their own family members.
During this very busy time of the year, they put a great deal of care into selecting the nicest and most exciting gifts they can purchase.
Thank you to these unselfish, quite Mrs. Clauses from Kenai.
They truly walk the talk of what Christmas is really about.
