The National Weather service in Anchorage has issued a snow and blowing snow advisory for the western Kenai Peninsula south of Clam Gulch through 4 p.m. today.
Up to 8 inches of snow is expected to fall today with winds gusts up to 40 miles per hour. Visibility will be reduced to one-quarter mile or less at times.
Residents are asked to use caution when traveling, especially in open areas.
