Local teacher to host Web seminar today

Allan Miller, a teacher from Sterling, will take part in a second live Web seminar and conference call as he travels to Antarctica with the Oden Expedition.

The Web seminar and conference call is scheduled for 9 a.m. today. Those wishing to participate in the Internet portion of the program should configure their computers ahead of time.

Those without Internet access can still participate in the conference call portion of the program.

Miller is currently serving as an Albert Einstein Fellow at the National Science Foundation. He is keeping a Web journal, accessible at www.polartrec.com, of his trip to McMurdo Station on Ross Island in Antarctica aboard the Oden, a Swedish icebreaker.
