Bikers' Thanksgiving turkey donations much appreciated

Posted: Tuesday, December 21, 2004

On behalf of the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District's program, Students in Transition/Homeless (SIT), the 20 families and I would like to thank Alaska Bikers Advocating Training and Education (ABATE) members so very much for the Thanksgiving turkey boxes.

This is the second year that we have been fortunate enough to receive your generosity. We recognize all your hard labor and the massive coordination that it takes to put together such a huge project. A special thank you goes to Bud, who brought the boxes to the borough building. Your efforts were far reaching into our community as the SIT program delivered Thanksgiving meals to families from Sterling, Soldotna, Kasilof, Kenai and all the way out to Nikiski.

To be a recipient of your goodwill is very special thing and it is greatly appreciated.

Karen Ruebsamen, Homeless liaison, Kenai Peninsula Borough School District
