Let the people decide tax rate

Letter to the Editor

Posted: Friday, December 21, 2007

Instead of asking lawyers and judges what the people of the Kenai Peninsula want regarding our tax rate.

Why doesn't our borough mayor put it on the ballot? And this time not tied with other issues or worded so that "yes" means no.

Let's settle this to the people's satisfaction, not the government's interpretation or some obscure paragraph written back in the early 1960s.
