Ninilchik seniors plan Christmas events

The Ninilchik Senior Citizens Center will have its annual Christmas program by an area home-school group at 11:30 a.m. today at the center. All are welcome to stay for the noon meal afterward.

The cost of lunch is $5 for members and $8 for nonmembers and those who are not seniors.

The senior citizens’ Christmas party will immediately follow the noon meal Friday at the center. Everyone is encouraged to bring a $10 gift matching their gender for a Chinese auction gift exchange.

Kenai Elks to dance in New Year

The Kenai Elks will celebrate the new year with hors d’oeuvres and dancing Dec. 31 at the lodge.

Doors open at 7 p.m. and music by Bob Ramponi’s Alaska Swing Company will be featured from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Tickets, which cost $25 per person, also include party favors, a champagne toast and breakfast buffet at 1 a.m., and are available at the lodge or by calling Konrad Jackson at 283-7776.
