Yes, Soldotna, there is a Santa Claus

As my daughter and I were walking through Fred Meyer, buying the last things for Christmas, a man with a little smirk approached me and stuck out his hand. So I shook it and he slipped me a $20 bill and said "Merry Christmas." Wow, was I speachless.

I am a person who has raised two great kids on my own for the last 19 years, never received child support or went on welfare, at times working two jobs and living off of credit cards. To this stranger I would like to say -- Merry Christmas, you truly are an angel.
