Petersburg tops Homer

The Petersburg boys basketball team topped Homer 90-52 Saturday at the Service Tipoff Tourney.

The Mariners were down 41-33 at the half, but the Vikings exploded in the second half. Petersburg outscored Homer 49-19 in the second half, including 33-8 in the final quarter.

Jon Randrup paced a balanced attack for the Vikings with 18 points. Also for Petersburg, Kyle Skinner had 16 points, Aaron Severson had 14 points, Sam Jensen had 13 points and Bryce Covington had 11 points.

Adam Crum led Homer with 18 points.
