Winnie Lou Lawson Tirmenstein
Winnie Lou Lawson Tirmenstein died Thursday, Dec. 15, 2005, in Downingtown, PA. She was 47.
Mrs. Tirmenstein was born in Bethel and graduated from West High School in Anchorage in 1974.
She attended college in 1976 in Eugene, Ore. She later moved to Pullman, Wash., and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a minor in computer engineering.
She met the love of her life, married and had a daughter, Sara Tirmenstein.
“Sara was Winnie’s life and love. Winnie lived for God and Sara and loved all animals with a caring attitude for their welfare. Winnie leaves many friends and loved ones that miss her dearly,” her family said.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Dec. 28 in Downingtown and another later in Soldotna. Her ashes will be buried on the Kenai Peninsula.
Mrs. Tirmenstein is survived by her daughter, Sara Tirmenstein; mother, Mary S. Lawson of Soldotna; brother, Fred Lawson of Soldotna; aunt and uncle, Emma and Rudy Martinchick of Anchorage; aunt, Bee Richards of Anchorage, many cousins; and good friends Mark Tirmenstein of Downingtown, Lewis Lange of Anchorage, Franny Peterville of Anchorage and Jay Eltin of Downingtown.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks people to pray for their family and friends.
Arrangements were made by Donohue Funeral Home in Downingtown.
