H1N1 vaccine available

The Kenai Public Health Center has H1N1 vaccine available during Christmas break. Walk-ins clinics are Mondays and Wednesdays from 1:30 to 4 p.m. at the center and Thursdays in Soldotna at Cottonwood Clinic from 1:30 to 4 p.m.

Attendees are asked to bring their immunization records. Call 335-3400 for more information.

Rotary club changes venue

The Kenai River Rotary Club has temporarily relocated its Tuesday evening meetings thorough Jan. 11 at 6:30 p.m. from Nikko Gardens to the Central Peninsula Hospital Borealis Room.

Meetings will resume at Nikko Gardens on Jan. 19.

Wine tasting fundraiser slated

The Hospice of the Central Peninsula's 14th annual winter wine tasting and auction fundraiser will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. Feb. 13 at the Kenai Senior Citizens Center.

Tickets will go on sale Jan. 4 at the Hospice office in Bridges in Soldotna.

The organization is accepting and seeking donations for its planned auction.

Gourmet appetizers and specialty wines will be provided along with a silent auction, live auction, and a variety of instant purchases and raffle chances.

Playgroup events set

The Soldotna Community Playground Committee is seeking donations for a silent auction as part of a fundraising event. The proceeds raised will go toward the building of the playground at Soldotna Creek Park.

The group also has available for purchase pickets that can be scribed with names and wooden salmon that can be decorated by families. These items will be placed as part of the playground.
