UNALASKA (AP) -- Two people have filed to fill the seat vacated by Frank Kelty who resigned as mayor.

City councilman Gregg Hanson and former Public Works Director Bill Bradshaw have both filed for the seat. Dick Davis, the CEO of the Ounalashka Corp. has picked up filing documents.

Kelty resigned earlier this month to fill the city natural resources analyst position.

Hanson, who is serving as mayor pro tem, has been a city council member for the past seven years. He twice ran unsuccessfully for mayor against Kelty in 1995 and 1998.

Bradshaw has become an active participant in city government since retiring a year ago from his post as public works director. He ran unsuccessfully for a council seat in October, losing to councilwoman Shirley Marquardt by just nine votes.
