Homer immunization clinic canceled

The Homer Public Health Clinic will not have an immunization clinic today or Thursday.

Blood bank announces holiday schedule

The Kenai Peninsula Chapter of the Blood Bank of Alaska has announced its holiday schedule.

The blood bank is closed today, but will be open Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

It will be closed Saturday through Jan. 2, but will be open on Jan. 3, 4 and 5. It will be closed Jan. 6 for the Homer Community Blood Drive.

Blood drives scheduled in January include: Jan. 5 at the U. S. Coast Guard Roanoke Training Center in Homer; Jan. 6 at the Homer Elks Club; Jan. 12 at the Sterling Senior Center; Jan. 27 at the Seward Wesley Rehab Center; and Jan. 31 at Kenai Peninsula College.

Soldotna calenders are in

The Greater Soldotna Chamber of Commerce has announced the arrival of the 2001 Millennium Calenders. One thousand calenders were printed and 365 prizes, totaling more than $10,600, will be given away.

The cost is $15. Chances of winning are 1 in 3. For more information, call 262-9814.
