ANCHORAGE (AP) -- Police are waiting for three people to complete medical treatment before charges are filed in connection with a fatal truck crash Sunday.

Driver Joel Ruby, 23, Hubert Koonuk, 21, and Sherrell Tooyak, 21, occupants of a stolen pickup, remained in Anchorage hospitals Monday.

The pickup smashed into the driver's side of a truck driven by Edward Wong, 51, as Wong tried to cross C Street at 32nd Avenue at about 4:30 a.m. Wong, the owner of International Market grocery, died in the crash.

Ruby and Koonuk remained in stable condition Monday at Alaska Native Medical Center. Tooyak remained in stable condition at Providence Alaska Medical Center. Police said none of the injuries appeared life-threatening.

An officer clocked the stolen truck at 80 miles an hour shortly before the crash, police reported.

Police said the three had been drinking at a bar prior to the accident. The truck was reported stolen Saturday morning.
