Community helps make tournament a ‘Classic’

Letter to the Editor

Posted: Tuesday, December 26, 2006

The 2006 Cook Inlet Academy Classic was completed Dec. 16. Players and coaches from Ninilchik, Tri-Valley, Lumen Christi and CIA made this tournament a great success on the court.

The Classic was also a success off the court, thanks to the work of many individuals, especially Shawnee Wisnewski, the tournament director.

On behalf of CIA, I would like to say thanks to Shawnee, Rhonda Orth and Tricia Cooper, staff members who did so much for this tournament, and Gary Toombs and Coca-Cola for their generous provisions for the weekend.

Thanks also go out to the following people who helped put on a super weekend: Jill Johnson, Robbyn Michel, Linda Dunn, Ted and Robin Forsi, Nicki Munn, Debbie Cook, Grace Ann Hillyer, Denise Cialek, Ann Larson, Arlyann Minogue, Joann Moffis, April Fulk, Wendy Dutcher, Trish Kopp, Janet Arneson, Lisa Reischach, Kathy Zufelt, Kim and Greg Bell, Jenny Smithwick, Diya McKee, Frankie White, Rick Musgrove, Travis Knutson, Mary Rowley, Jodene McAuliffe, Renee Holly, Rob Smithwick and Pizza Boys, Ginny Litchfield, Stephanie Davidson, Cindy Wentzlaff, Jan Powers and Doug Munn.

Thanks to you all, and merry Christmas.
