A Kasilof woman was killed Monday when her vehicle collided with a tree at Mile 104 of the Sterling Highway.
Sarah Armstrong, 47, was traveling north on the highway when her pickup truck slid off the road and collided with a tree at 3:52 p.m. Monday, according to an Alaska State Trooper report. She was the only occupant in the vehicle.
Emergency officials still are investigating the cause of this collision, but stated alcohol was not a factor in the accident, nor was foul play involved.
Emergency responders pronounced Armstrong dead at the scene.
