Soldotna resident Eileen F. McKenzie died Friday, Dec. 22, 2000, at Northwest Hospital in Seattle. She was 75.
There will be a viewing and funeral service at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Soldotna Bible Chapel. Pastor John Rysdyk will officiate. Burial will be in Spruce Grove Memorial Park in Kasilof.
Mrs. McKenzie was born Dec. 9, 1925, and moved to Alaska in 1962.
"She enjoyed many things. Two of her favorites were her dogs, Tara and Ginger. They were her constant companions. She enjoyed arranging flowers for herself and friends. She also liked to play bingo, garden and travel," her family said. "Mother will be cherished in her passing as she was in her life."
Mrs. McKenzie was preceded in death by her husband, Russell W. McKenzie and her grandson Jasper.
She is survived by her three children, Douglas, Sandra and Callen; daughters-in-law Patricia McKenzie and Cynthia McKenzie; son-in-law Robert Bolt; grandchildren Douglas, James, Brian, Patrick, Jason, Kristin, Stephen, Derrick, David, Cierra, Angie, Cassandra; and many more family and friends.
