CPGH board to meet

Hospital to sponsor sitter classes
Central Peninsula General Hospital is sponsoring Safe Sitter classes for boys and girls, ages 11 through 13, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Thursday and Jan. 3. The class costs $50. Advisory committee to hold elections
The Kenai-Soldotna Fish and Game advisory committee will meet Jan. 10 at 7 p.m. at the Kenai River Center to hold elections of vacant seats on the committee. Five three-year seats, two two-year seats, four one-year seats and two alternates will be chosen. Nominations will be taken from the public during the meeting. Skin cancer screening scheduled
Central Peninsula Health Centers will offer free skin cancer screening Jan. 11 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the Cottonwood Health Center in Soldotna. For more information, call 262-3119.
Residents warned about snow hazards
The Kenai Peninsula Borough reminds residents that no person may push or otherwise deposit snow or ice onto a roadway in a manner or in quantities that may constitute a hazard to snow removal equipment or other traffic.
Parents are asked to inform children of the danger of playing in snow piles and berms near roadways. Operators of heavy equipment used in snow removal may have difficulty seeing children.
