Developing renewable energy sources are a step in the right direction for the residents of the Kenai and the state of Alaska. The Clarion’s recent article and the growing interest in tidal and wind electric generation potential in our little corner of the world made my day.
It is my hope that the powers that be in industry and our own HEA will see the writing on the wall and catch up with the mind-set of most residents who reside here. Business as usual isn’t going to cut the mustard when our water is polluted and our air and land are filled with coal dust.
Hoorah for the local leaders who take our water, air and land’s health seriously. Now that’s something worth fighting for.
