Alaska Aerospace signs contract with program management firm

ANCHORAGE (AP) -- The Alaska Aerospace Development Corp. has signed a contract with RISE Alaska Inc., an Anchorage program management firm, to support the Kodiak Launch Complex.

The $40 million launch complex is located at Narrow Cape, about 40 miles south of the City of Kodiak.

The facility is preparing for the first of four launches scheduled for 2001, Alaska Aerospace said.

RISE Alaska has identified a team of contractors, including Orbital Sciences Corp., BRPH Cos., Thiokol Propulsion, United Paradyne Corp., MTNT Development Inc., Alutiiq Management Systems, SMI International and Kodiak Transfer Inc.
