Health center closed for holidays

The Kenai Public Health Center will be closed Tuesday for New Year's Day. In addition, immunization clinics Jan. 7 and 9 in Kenai and Jan. 10 at the Elks Club in Soldotna are canceled. Hours for Jan. 7 through 11 are 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4:30 p.m. For more information, call the center at 335-3400.

OEM warns of siren test

The Kenai Peninsula Borough's Office of Emergency Management will conduct its monthly alert siren test Thursday at noon. The test, which consists of the attack and alert tones, is conducted on the first Thursday of each month unless it is a holiday.

Funds available for nonprofits

Nonprofit and government agencies that provide emergency food and shelter in the Kenai Peninsula Borough can apply for funding through the Kenai Peninsula United Way. Organizations should send a letter of interest describing their services and an IRS tax determination letter to: Kenai Peninsula United Way, 11355 Frontage Road, Suite 101, Kenai, AK 99611 by Jan. 4. Borough seeks committee members

The Kenai Peninsula Borough School District is recruiting committee members to serve on its Budget Review Committee. This committee will review the development of the 2003 budget for the district. Meeting dates will be the evening of Jan. 24 and all day Jan. 28. Application forms are available online at www., area schools and the KPBSD main office. KDLL meeting planned

KDLL's annual membership meeting and Board of Directors election will be held Jan. 17 at the KDLL studio in the Economic Development District building, near Mile 14 Kenai Spur Highway, in Kenai. The meeting is open to all members and will begin at 6 p.m. A brief board meeting will follow.

Clothing available at WRCC

The Women's Resource and Crisis Center has free clothing for infants, children, women and men. All clothing is received on a donation basis from community members. The clothes closet is open Tuesday and Wednesday every week from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information, call Natalie at 283-9479.
