Boys and Girls Club to stage a performance

The Kenai Boys and Girls Club will hold auditions for "On the Radio," a musical looking back at five decades of music starting with "Ain't We Got Fun?" from the 1920s to "Footloose" from the 1980s. The production is being directed by volunteer Jill Tyler and is great for club members ages 6 to 18.

First practice/auditions will be held Wednesday, Jan. 5 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the Boys and Girls Club gym in Kenai. Performers should be prepared to read from a script at the audition. Practices will take place Wednesdays and Fridays through the performance at the Benefit Dinner and Show on March 10. Cast members must be 2011 club members. Adult volunteers also needed. For more information, contact Kimberli Dent at 283-2682.

Donate those used books

As you clean out your book shelves to make room for new books from Santa, consider donating your already read books to the Kenai Community Library for their summer book sale. The Friends of the Kenai Community Library collect books, videos, cassettes, DVDs, and puzzles all year long for their summer book sale. Bring donations to the Kenai Community Library during regular library hours.
