SoHi boys open tourney with win

The Soldotna High School boys basketball team opened the Holland America tournament in Sitka with a win Tuesday, defeating Lumen Christi 62-41.

Dan Spindler led the Stars with 17 points while Tony Besse chipped in with 11.

Soldotna led by six, 35-29, at the half, but the Stars held the Archangels to 12 points in the second half to put the game away.
