Youth New Year's party slated

A New Year's Eve party for youth in grades seven through 12 will be held from 7 p.m. Sunday to 1 a.m. Monday at the Challenger Learning Center of Alaska in Kenai. Live music and refreshments will be available. The cost is $2 per person. For more information, call 283-5060.

Parenting course offered

Kenai Peninsula Community Care Center will offer a cooperative parenting and divorce course from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursdays, beginning next week and ending March 8 at the Kenai Public Health Center.

It will be a video-based, interactive group course designed to help improve communication between single co-parents, divorced parents, step-parents and grandparents. For more information, call 283-7635. The cost of registration is $20.

Monopoly tournaments to be held

The Peninsula Winter Games will host its annual adult and youth monopoly tournaments in January at the Aspen Hotel in Soldotna. Prizes will be awarded. Space is limited.

The adult tournament begins at 6 p.m. Jan. 20. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m.

The youth tournament begins at 2:30 p.m. Jan. 21. Registration begins at 2 p.m. For more information, call 262-5229.
