Support makes tournament a slam dunk

Soldotna High School boys basketball would like to thank its supporters, sponsors, parents and the players for helping to make the 20th annual POWERade SoHi Tipoff Tournament a huge success.

A big thank you goes to Gary Toombes of Odom Corporation and POWERade for sponsoring the tipoff again this year. Also, thanks to Soldotna Wells Fargo Bank, Soldotna and Kenai Safeway stores, Kaladi Bros. Coffee, and Three Bears in Kenai for donating various products. What a fabulous community we live in when local businesses are so willing to help out our student-athletes in their activities.

Thanks especially to the participating high school athletes from Chugiak, Ketchikan, Homer, Grace Christian, Mt. Edgecumbe, Nikiski and SoHi who played hard and represented their schools well.

Thanks to the fantastic booster club parents who worked ao hard to make certain the concessions, gate and hospitality room ran efficiently.

Last but not least, no tournament can operate and run smoothly without assistance from the school administration. Thanks also goes to Meggean Bos, Family and Consumer Sciences teacher, for allowing us access to her classroom for our hospitality needs.

We would not have such a successful tournament without all the support.

Brad Carver; President, Soldotna High School Boys Basketball Booster Club
