Texas resident Cleo Idell McShan Necessary died Sunday, Dec. 19, 2004, at an Abilene, Texas, nursing facility. She was 94.
Services were held Thursday, Dec. 23, at First Baptist Church with Jim Baucum officiating. Burial was held Thursday at Resthaven Cemetery in Brady, Texas.
Mrs. Necessary was born June 12, 1910, in Comanche, Texas, the daughter of Newton and Mary E. (Cottrell) McShan. She married Cope Necessary on Sept. 15, 1931, in Brady and moved to Anson, Texas, from Lohn, Texas, in 1946.
Mrs. Necessary worked as the Anson city clerk for many years and was a member of the First Baptist Church. She was a volunteer for the Anson Museum.
She spent a great deal of time with her family in Alaska and made many friends, her family said.
Mrs. Necessary was preceded in death by her daughter, Suzanne Necessary; her parents; one brother; and three sisters.
She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Anita Necessary of Kenai and Bill and Suzy Necessary of Brawley, Calif.; sisters, Norma Lee Ranne of Brady and Peggy Ricks of Huntsville, Texas; grandchildren, Donnie Adkins, Jeannie White, David White, Lynn Wimburg, Juanita Necessary, Lance Necessary and Monte Necessary; and one great-grandchild.
Arrangements were made by Lawrence-Adams Funeral Home in Anson.
