I've been keeping track of the recipes you've liked best in 2009.
Some of the finest and most popular food pages of the year were graced by recipes from talented readers, among them Charlotte Ward's cole slaw, published in August, and Pat Smith's Coconut-Key Lime Bars, submitted by Caroline Kennedy, in September. June's recipe for Fresh Corn and Chicken Chowder and October's Pork Fried Rice also proved immensely popular. Also, from August, Glazed Blueberry Bundt Cake won high praise from readers who enjoy baking.
When someone communicated success with a particular recipe, I rejoiced. But, on the other side, efforts to present you with a perfectly written recipe were occasionally frustrated by an unintentional error on my part. So, before trying any new recipe, it's always a good idea to read a recipe through completely, including the instructions. If a recipe isn't clear to you, chances are someone else may be having the same problem. As we begin to settle into the year 2010, I hope you will continue to offer your invaluable feedback. While many of the new recipes that I hope to share in 2010 are still a part of my imagination, the recipes chosen by readers as their favorites of 2009, are unimaginably good.
