Former Kenai resident JoAnn Christopher of Weatherford, Texas, died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2006, in a Fort Worth, Texas hospital. She was 66.
Visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 20, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Services were held at 2 p.m. Dec. 21, at Zion Hill Cemetery in Weatherford .
Ms. Christopher was born May 4, 1940, in Lamesa, Texas.
“She was a homemaker, a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and Aunt Tee-Top,” her family said.
She was a retired beautician and member of Trinity Baptist Church in Seminole, Texas. She enjoyed playing board games, video games, cards games and collecting movies and books.
Ms. Christopher was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Augusta Spencer and Sandra McGill.
She is survived by her daughters, Rhonda Diehl and her husband, Gavin, of Burrton, Kan. and Terri Casey of Bartonville, Texas; sisters, Ethyleen Bogus and her husband, Ralph, and Kathleen Thompson and her husband, Dave, of Weatherford and Helen Crowder-Synner and her husband, Charles, of Anchorage; brother, Gordon Christopher and his wife, Daisy, of Rogers, Ark.; and grandchildren, Jennifer Stimson, Brianna Casey, Shalon Diehl, Lola Diehl and Benford Diehl.
Arrangements were made by Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
