On the Opinion Page of the Peninsula Clarion two candidates for Kenai city council, Henry Knackstedt and Tim Navarre, defended the 2012 compressive plan. Mr. Navarre went so far as to say, “The 2012 comprehensive plan in a good plan.” Don’t these candidates remember that the citizens voted against that plan by a large majority? They concluded it was a bad plan. Thus it appears that these two candidates do not listen to the citizens of Kenai, they think that they know better than the majority of Kenai citizens. Mike Boyle voted against the plan and worked toward its rejection by our citizens. A vote for Mike Boyle will be a vote for a council member who listens to the citizens and cares about the welfare of all citizens.
