Kenai Historic Cabin Park support appreciated

The Kenai Historical Society would like to thank all of this year’s sponsors for the Kenai Historic Cabin Park in Old Town Kenai. With their support, we were able to hire our summer cabin guide and share the history of Kenai with nearly 1,000 people, including students, from all over the world. Thank you to Hilcorp, Tesoro, Arby’s, McDonald’s, First National Bank of Alaska, Pioneers of Alaska, Kenai Historical Society, Virginia Poore, Pat Porter, Bill and Lois Nelson, and Joe and June Harris. Also, thank you to the Pioneers of Alaska (Kenai Men’s Igloo 33 and Kenai Women’s Igloo 16), for their generous donation from their cookie sales at the Fourth of July booth, the City of Kenai Parks and Rec for the very unique planters filled with beautiful flowers and to North Star Paving & Construction for the load of topsoil which will aid in the growth of new wildflowers next summer. Lastly we say thank you to the City of Kenai and the Kenai Visitor’s Center for their continued support with the cabin project. We are truly blessed to live in such a wonderful, caring, and giving community.
