Two good candidates in run-off
I encourage everyone to vote in the October 24 run-off election for Borough Mayor!
As Chairman of the Alaska Republican Party, I wanted to share with you our view that we are fortunate to have two rock solid Republicans running for Borough Mayor, Linda Hutchings and Charlie Pierce.
While local Republican Clubs and individual House Districts have expressed support for one or the other of these two candidates, I think it is important to know that the Republican Party is delighted with both candidates.
The good news is that the Democrats do not have a candidate at all!
Municipal races are non-partisan, but we have seen the Democrat Party heavily involved in Seward, Mat-Su, Juneau, Anchorage and Fairbanks. The Republican Party is also involved in encouraging and supporting Republicans who run for non-partisan municipal offices.
In the run-off for Mayor of the Kenai Peninsula Borough, from the perspective of the Alaska Republican Party, you have two great candidates to choose between!
