Carly and Adam Reimer of Soldotna announce the birth of their daughter, Lois Jean Reimer, on Sept. 17, 2016. She weighed 7 pounds, 13 ounces and measured 21 inches. She joins brother Gus. Her grandparents are Ted and Carole Bear, Faye Shae and the late Steven Reimer.
Joanna Daniels, a Senior Graphic Design major of Ninilchik, was named to the Fall 2016 Dean’s List at Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina. The Dean’s List recognizes students who earn a 3.00-3.74 grade point average during the semester.
Katie Stafford of Kasilof, a student in the School of Nursing, has been named to the dean’s list for academic excellence during the fall 2016 semester at South Dakota State University in Brookings, South Dakota. To earn dean’s list distinctions in SDSU’s colleges, students must have completed a minimum of 12 credits and must have earned at least a 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale. Stafford earned a perfect 4.0 GPA.
Accounting student Megan Tye Koch, from Anchor Point, was recognized on the fall semester 2016 Chancellors List at the University of Minnesota Crookston. To qualify for a place on the Chancellors List, students must complete 12 or more letter-graded credits while attaining a 4.00 grade point average.

Events, wedding, engagement and birth submissions may not be older than six months. Wedding anniversary announcements are printed in five-year increments beginning with the 20th.
