Bos, Marquez announce engagement

Meggean Bos and John Marquez of Soldotna are engaged to be married at 4 p.m. on July 11, 2015 at Land’s End Resort in Homer.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of William and Mary Jo Bos of Soldotna. She graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor’s degree in Family and Consumer Science Education in 1999, and earned a Masters of Arts in Family Studies from Michigan State University in 2001. She teaches Family and Consumer Science at Soldotna High School and serves on the Soldotna City Council.

The future groom is the son of Juan A. Marquez of Barstow, California, and Maria Marquez of Barstow, California. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Education in 1995 from Ottawa University and his Master of Arts in Physical Education, in 2001, from Azusa Pacific University. He is a Physical Education teacher and head football coach at Kenai Central High School.

A reception will follow the ceremony at Land’s End Resort.
