Soldotna Day Aglow is hosting Paul Rapley on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to noon. Childcare is provided. Paul Rapley is a nine-year cancer-survivor who now has a passion to see others healed.

Soldotna Day Aglow is also hosting a brunch July 15 with Judy Risung from 10 a.m. to noon. Please bring a dish to share. Childcare is provided.

All are welcome to attend. Aglow International is founded on prayer and compassionate outreach. Soldotna Day Aglow meets at Peninsula Christian Center, 161 Farnsworth Blvd., Soldotna. Weekly meetings will resume in September. For more information, contact Dawn at 398-9278.

— First Baptist Church of Kenai will hold Vacation Bible School with the theme “Camp Kilimanjaro” June 1-5, from 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. each day. The church is located at 12815 Kenai Spur Highway. Call 907-283-7672 for more information.

— Sterling Pentecostal Church will present “Everest,” a Vacation Bible School program June 10-14 from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The games, activities, puppets songs, and lessons will encourage kids to conquer challenges with God’s mighty power. — College Heights Baptist Church is hosting Journey Off The Map Vacation Bible School from June 15-19th, 6-9pm nightly. Children ages 4-years old to 6th grade are welcome to attend. Please call Trista Clark at 262-3220 or email chbcoffice@alaska.net with any questions.

— The Midnight Son Seventh Day Adventist church is doing a Savannah Safari VBS June 22-26 from 3:00-5:30 p.m. There will be a puppet show, bible lesson, snack, and craft. All ages are welcome. To register or for more information call or text Toni Loop at 740-1476.

— Birch Ridge Community Church, 33325 Echo Lake Road, will host Vacation Bible School from 10 a.m.-noon July 20-24 for children ages 4 years – 6th grade. Call 907-260-6705.

The Apostolic Assembly of Jesus Christ church youth group will be hosting events for middle school and high school kids.

The Soldotna Food Pantry is open every Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for residents in the community who are experiencing food shortages. The Food Pantry is located at the Soldotna United Methodist Church at 158 South Binkley Street, and all are welcome.

Non-perishable food items or monetary donations may be dropped off at the church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. or on Sunday from 9 a.m. until noon. For more information or if you have questions, please call 262-4657.

The Kenai United Methodist Church provides a food pantry for those in need every Monday from noon to 3 p.m. The Methodist Church is located on the Kenai Spur Highway next to the Boys and Girls Club. The entrance to the Food Pantry is through the side door. The Pantry closes for holidays. For more information contact the church office at 283-7868.

First Baptist Church Soldotna, located at 159 S. Binkley Street, is re-opening its Clothes 4 U program. It is open on the second and fourth Saturday of each month from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. All clothing and shoes are free to the public.

Clothes Quarters at Our Lady of the Angels Church is open every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and the first Saturday of every month from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information, call 907-283-4555.
